Before players can recruit Skelly to their parties in Chrono Cross, they must first find all of his bones. While fans will undoubtedly encounter several of Skelly's parts without any assistance, some of them can prove to be a bit difficult to find. For those players that are indeed having trouble tracking down some of Skelly's bones in Chrono Cross, this guide has full details on where all of them are located.

Chrono Cross: Skelly Parts Locations

The Heavy Skull is the first Skelly part that players can obtain, and it is in Fossil Valley (Another World). More specifically, classic JRPG fans should make their way to the top of Fossil Valley to reach a screen with a dragon skeleton. After lying to the guards on this screen, players should approach the dragon's skull to receive this Skelly bone in Chrono Cross.

The next bone that a player can encounter depends on how they opt to approach Viper Manor. For those Chrono fans that sneak into Viper Manor through Shadow Forest (Another World), the Angry Scapula is found in that area. To collect it, players should navigate to the screen where the sleeping monster blocks the way forward, enter the cave under the nearby waterfall, and read the note that is sitting on the ground next to the chest that contains the Aroma Pouch.

If a player instead went straight through Viper Manor's front gate, they can pick up the Pelvic Bone prior to the Angry Scapula. That Skelly part is found in Guldove (Another World), and fans can claim it by initiating a trade with the NPC that is standing in front of Doc's hut, next to the dock, and then canceling that trade. Notably, players in this category should plan to visit Shadow Forest for the Scapula when they are able to leave Guldove in Chrono Cross.

Regardless of how Volcano Manor was entered, players should plan to take their Chrono Cross characters to the bar in Guldove (Another World) before they leave the island. There is a dwarf inside this establishment, and speaking with him several times will yield the Green Tinkler, a key item that is used to access the next Skelly bone. Indeed, players should now take the Green Tinkler to the Hydra Marshes (Another World), follow the left path to collect the Safety Gear, and then use the following route to obtain the Good Backbone:

Use the exit in the top-left corner of the first screen.
Climb the log, use the Green Tinkler on the plant, and use the exit in the top-left corner of the second screen.
Use the exit in the bottom-right corner of the third screen.
Enter the small cave near the middle of the fourth screen and search to collect the Good Backbone.

The final two Skelly bones in Chrono Cross can be accessed once a Square Enix fan gains control of the boat, and they are found on two islands. The first island to target is Water Dragon Isle in the south, and speaking with the NPC wearing green on the first screen will yield the Sturdy Ribs. The second island is the Isle of the Damned in the northeast, and the Mixed Bones are obtained by searching in the small cave at the top-left corner of the first screen.

After collecting all six of Skelly's parts, players should head to Termina and enter the house in the top-right corner of the first screen. Speaking with the NPC that is sitting in the chair in this house will cause Skelly to appear, and fans should leave the residence when the dialogue concludes. Players should then simply enter the building again and speak with Skelly to recruit him as a party member in Chrono Cross.
