SEATTLE – Washington (5-1) returns to Alaska Airlines Arena to host Seattle University Monday night at 7 p.m. AJ Kanell and Don MacLean have the call on Pac-12 Networks and Tony Castricone and Jason Hamilton will call the action on the Husky Sports Network, and locally on Sports Radio KJR-AM 950.

The Huskies and Redhawks meet for the 38th time in history with UW holding a 33-4 edge and an active win streak of 17 games. The Redhawks last won in 1978 which was also their only win at Hec Ed in series history.

Tonight is Native American Heritage Celebration Night and the Muckleshoot performing at halftime.

The Huskies are coming off of two strong wins in the Wooden Legacy, which resulted in a trophy returning to Seattle. A pair of Pac-12 matchups are on deck starting with a visit to Oregon State for a Thursday night tilt and Colorado coming to Alaska Airlines Arena on Sunday.

Last Time Out
The Huskies won the Paycom Wooden Legacy by defeating Saint Mary's (RV) 68-64 in overtime on Thanksgiving night. Keion Brooks Jr. had 14 points and 11 rebounds en route to being named tournament MVP and PJ Fuller II made a game-tying shot to force overtime before clinching the championship. Game recap

The Team
Graduate student Jamal Bey is the leading returning scorer and ranks in the program's top-10 in career steals. The Huskies added four transfers from Division I schools -- Keion Brooks Jr. (Kentucky), Franck Kepnang (Oregon), Braxton Meah (Fresno State) and Noah Williams (Washington State) -- that bring with them 10 combined years of high-level playing experience. The foursome entered the year having played in 278 games (112 starts). Returners Cole Bajema and PJ Fuller II played in all 32 games in 2021-22 while Langston Wilson factored into 28.

Signing Day
Four-star recruit Wesley Yates III (Beaumont, Texas/Beaumont United) signed a National Letter of Intent on Nov. 16, announcing his commitment to Washington. Yates is the 37th-ranked prospect on ESPN's Top-100. The signing continues the momentum built from last year's class, which includes the No. 1 rated player in the state of Washington, Tyler Linhardt
(Seattle, Wash./King's HS) and guard Keyon Menifield Jr. (Mount Morris, Mich./Phoenix [Ariz.] Prep).

Head Coach Mike Hopkins (94-81 at UW/6th season)
Hopkins is a two-time Pac-12 Coach of the Year, winning the honor in each of his first two seasons with the Huskies as he led UW to back-to-back 20 win seasons with postseason appearances each year, including the NCAA Second Round in 2019. Hopkins has coached four McDonald's All-Americans and has mentored five players that have been selected in the first round of the NBA Draft. During his 22 years as an assistant at Syracuse, Hopkins was a part of teams that reached the NCAA Tournament 16 times including the 2003 National Championship team, four Final Four teams, five Elite Eights and ten Sweet 16s.
