Penn and Oregon State will row against each other on Friday afternoon. On Saturday morning, the Quakers and Big Red race across four boats, with the Madeira Cup up for grabs in the Varsity Eights race at 9:05 a.m. Later that same day, Penn will race against Holy Cross.
Penn leads the overall Madeira Cup series, with 36 wins in this race to Cornell's 27. That said, the Big Red have won the last two races and dominated the series overall in the 21st century, the Quakers winning only three times (2001, 2007, 2018).
